Greetings Parents, Students, Teachers, and Staff:

I am proud to be the Instructional Coach at Cowan Road Elementary School. In my position, I work to improve student achievement and develop 21st century critical thinkers in all content areas. As a part of this endeavor, I help to build capacity in teachers.  Working together as a team with educators is the key to enhancing and infusing your scholar's educational experience with a literacy rich focus, authentic math tasks, STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) encounters, Project Based Learning, and personalized, differentiated instruction.   

As an educator at heart, I enjoy seeing students explore our world through academics. It is my belief that ALL students can learn and that learning should be fun! I have worked in education for the past 28 years, spending my initial years teaching in the Coweta and Pike County School Systems.   My experience as a classroom teacher includes Kindergarten, 1st grade, and 3rd grade. I served as an instructional coach in Pike County before I came to Cowan Road as the Teacher Development Specialist. I have a Gifted Endorsement as well as a Reading Endorsement and a Specialist Degree in Teacher Leadership.
