Mrs. Candy Mann has been teaching for almost 30 years. This is her 4th year teaching at Cowan Road E lementary. She will retire from teaching at the end of this school year. Her experience includes all grade levels from PreK through 3rd grade, Science Lab, and EIP. She currently serves as the EIP teacher for grades 1-3, is grade level chair for first grade and is a mentor teacher to several of our first and second year teachers. 

Mrs. Mann LOVES the students at Cowan Road. She knows almost all of them by name and does her best to make each student feel special every single day. Her motto is love them and they will learn. She was born to teach.

She is married to an educator and they have 3 sons. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. When she retires, she plans to move to the beach and relax. 

Mrs. Mann says that working at Cowan Road Elementary School is a blessing and being your 2025-2026 teacher of the year is a tremendous honor. She hopes that her legacy will live on in the students she taught and the teachers she mentored.
